Negara – A Daihatsu minibus number DK 1649 CW was wrecked after an accident with a Colt Diesel truck number DK 9380 FK, in Denpasar – Gilimanuk Public Road, precisely in Banjar Cempaka, Pangyangan Village, Pekutatan District, Jembrana on Saturday (11/23) morning. This accident caused a minibus driver, Muhlisun (45) suffered a severe head injury, and died on the way to hospital.

The deadly accident, precisely in the Denpasar – Gilimanuk Public Road kilometer 64-65 occurred around 10:30 Central Indonesian Time. The incident started when the minibus driver, Muhlisun, whose addressed in Jalan Gunung Muria Number 50, Denpasar Barat District, Denpasar, who drove from the west (Gilimanuk) to the east (Denpasar). During the trip, Muhlisun also has a passenger, Emi Padila (33) whose addressed in Jalan Manyar, Selawu Village, Patrang District, Jember, East Java.

Unfortunately, once the gas stepped into the opposite lane at the same time from the opposite direction, there was 9380 FK Colt Diesel truck was driven by Edyk Yulianto (36) whose addressed in Jalan Pulau Kawe Gang I / 7B, Banjar Kajeng, Pamogan Village, South Denpasar, Denpasar.

The impact that occurred was quite hard, also directly causing the minibus bounced to the other side of the road, with the condition of a wrecked vehicle from the front side to the middle door. The victim was still breathing when he was successfully removed from his car, but it was confirmed he had died when he arrived in the emergency room at Negara Hospital.

The existence of the deadly accident was immediately became the resident’s concern and the residents were checking the victims. The truck driver survives without suffering any injuries. While the minibus driver was unconscious with severe head injuries, and the residents were immediately evacuated with police officers to Negara General Hospital. The victim was still breathing when he was successfully removed from his car, unfortunately the victim died when he arrived at the emergency room in Negara Hospital.

Head of Jembrana Regional Police Headquarters, Iptu Shinta Ayu Pramesti, said that besides the minibus driver, the minibus passenger, Emi Padila, was also rushed to the health center, because of a torn wound on her left cheek. But the minibus passenger suffered only minor injuries. “Yes there are two victims. One victim died, and one minor injury”, she said.

According to Iptu Shinta, after receiving a report and evacuating the victims, evacuation of the two vehicles was immediately carried out, especially the wreck of a truck that had been rolled in the middle of the road. From the results of checking the location and examination to the witnesses, the deadly accident between the minibus and the truck occurred because of the carelessness of the minibus driver.
