GIANYAR – A series of Pekat Agung II / 2019 operations, Ubud Sector Police succeeded in securing two perpetrators of theft, which operated in the Sub-district of Ubud. In addition, the police also secured a number of Arak (liquor).

The two perpetrators secured by the Ubud Sector Police of motorcycle theft case were Petrus Piro Mete (28) and Paulus Pati Kondo (27), both from Southwest Sumba. Their arrests began with two reports of theft at Jelitop Art Shop and Artha Kesuma Art Shop.

The police officers were overwhelmed to look for the perpetrators, because they both were very smooth. After conducting investigations for days, the authorities got information that the two perpetrators were secured by the South Denpasar Police Station.

When the Ubud police carried out the development, the two perpetrators admitted having acted twice in the jurisdiction of the Ubud Police Station. They were escorted to the Ubud Police Headquarters complete with two units of evidence in the form of bison motorbikes.

Head of Gianyar Regional Police Operations, Commissioner I Dewa Gede Mahaputra said, Operation Pekat Agung II 2019 lasted for 16 days, starting from November 23rd to December 8th. This time, it targets seven Operating Targets (OT). Among them, three alcohol OT, one gambling OT, one drug OT, and two OT of curanmor (motor vehicle theft).

“This operation is carried out in order to prevent it from developing and expanding, and freeing the community from the bad influence of community diseases. Therefore, our OT covers thuggery, alcohol, theft with weighting, theft with violence, theft of motorized vehicles, illicit trafficking and narcotics abuse”, said the Police commissioner Mahaputra.
