GIANYAR – The figure of a corpse of an unidentified man was found stranded on the Lebih beach of Lebih Village, Gianyar precisely in front of the Rumah Luwih Hotel, Tuesday (7/1) around 03.00 CIT.

The discovery of this corpse was intermittent one day after the sea boat accident overturned in Cucukan Beach, Medahan Village, Blahbatuh District.

The body of Mr X was allegedly the captain of the overturned boat named Aproyosi. But the police have not confirmed this. Because the characteristics of the victim Aproyosi are different from the finding of Mr X’s body. Even the search for missing victims is still underway.

Information was compiled, the finding of the body of Mr X was first seen by Rumah Luwih Hotel security, I Wayan Gagita (50). At that time the witness was conducting a routine patrol around the beach in front of the hotel at 03.00 CIT. From a distance, something suspicious was seen lying on the shoreline. He immediately contacted another security friend named I Wayan Darin (45), to jointly look at the suspicious object.

After being approached, it turns out the object is a corpse that is not recognized. Male sex, wearing a black T-shirt that reads ‘Jack Daniels’ and wearing blue underwear. Surprised by the discovery of a dead body, they contacted Balawista Gianyar and then contacted the Gianyar Police Department. At around 05.00 CIT, the body was finally evacuated using the Indonesian Red Cross ambulance in Gianyar Regency, taken to the Forensic General Hospital of Sanglah Province, Denpasar.

The Head of the Gianyar Resort Police Operations Section, Police Commissioner Dewa Gede Mahaputra when confirmed regarding the corpse discovery said, there was indeed report of corpse finding that was stranded on the coast of Lebih Beach, Gianyar. But the identity of the corpse is unknown.

“Whether the corpse is a victim of a boat overturned in Cucukan Beach on behalf of Aproyosi or not is still in the scrutiny. Meanwhile, the missing victim is still monitored on the coast”, said Chief of Police Operations at Gianyar Resort Police, Police Commissioner I Dewa Gede Mahaputra Tuesday (7/1) yesterday.

He also said, the police had contacted the family of Aproyosi victim in Central Java. “The family has been contacted on their way. It is expected that tomorrow will arrive, for the certainty of the victim whether or not their family member”, he explained.

Head of the Forensic Medicine Installation at Sanglah Province General Hospital, Dr. Kunthi Yulianti SpF said based on the results of an external examination after the body was received at 06.00 CIT, the body was identified as male with an estimated young adult age, which is between 20-40 years. The body of the skin-colored Mongoloid race has a body length of 160 cm and a body weight of 65 kg with circumcised testicles.

“When received here, the body wore a short-sleeve T-shirt with a black collar (t-shirt) with the words ‘Jack Daniel All Time’. Whereas the pants that was found was only blue underwear. There are no special characteristics such as birthmarks or tattoos”, she said found at the forensic installation on Tuesday (7/1).

Based on the wounds found, said Dr. Kunthi, the body only suffered injuries after death which was estimated 24 hours or a day before being examined. “The condition of the corpse has not been rotten. But the body is difficult to recognize because there is damage to the face”, she said.

Previously reported, a sea accident occurred at Cucukan Beach, Medahan Village, Blahbatuh District, Sunday (5/1) around 23.15 CIT. A boat overturned after being hit by the waves and hit a reef about 250 meters from the shoreline. Large waves that crashed during the incident, causing the condition of some of the boats destroyed. From that incident, Jonatan, boat passenger managed to save himself by hugging the fuel tank so he could swim to the surface. While Aproyosi’s boat owner who was as a captain was missing.
