DENPASAR – The appearance of a crocodile shocked the residents of Denpasar, Monday (3/1) afternoon. This crocodile measuring more than 1 meter is seen sunbathing on the edge of the Ayung Muara Tangtu River, Padang Galak Beach, Denpasar, near Campuhan Temple.

This condition makes residents in the Ayung Muara Tangtu River area anxious. They immediately reported to BKSDA (Bali Natural Resources Conservation) Bali. The Bali BKSDA team went straight to the location. And on Monday (3/2) night at 20:00 CIT, the 1 meter estuarine crocodile was captured.

Head of Bali BKSDA Administration Subdivision, Prawono Meruanto explained, after receiving a citizen report, his party went directly to the location.

Arriving at the location, the crocodile actually did not appear again on the surface, maybe the crocodile had hidden back to the bottom of the estuary.

Officers then find another way to catch the crocodile by providing bait. Soon the bait was grabbed and the crocodile was successfully secured.

“Crocodiles can be caught around the river to the Ida Bagus Mantra Bypass, around 20:00 CIT. This crocodile allegedly released pet crocodile. Crocodiles will be taken to BKSDA Bali”, he explained.
