JIMBARAN – The Bali Regional Police officers arrest the alleged perpetrators of theft with violence in action at the Mini Mart in front of the Rector of Udayana University – Jimbaran, Badung.

Suspect Edy Sugianto (33), from Bondowoso and Mohammad (30), from Bojonegoro, were arrested by officers on the Semer-Kerobokan highway, Badung. Saturday (3/1/2020). Chairman of the Police Commissioner Mobile Detective Unit, Made Adi Guna said, from the information gathered, the arrest of the suspect began with the victim’s report of the Mini Mart Employee in the cash register on behalf of Rondi Bagus Malindo (23), from Jember – East Java.

“Where on Wednesday, December 25th, 2019 at around 02.00 CIT, the perpetrators entered the shop while still wearing helmets and masks as well as carrying bags while pretending to shop. Because the situation at that time there was a shopping reporter went to the cashier area, but the perpetrator followed the reporter then the perpetrator suddenly pointed a sharp weapon (machete) towards the reporter and took money in the cashier drawer and 1 reporter’s cellphone”, said Made Adi Guna.

The victim also reported the incident to the South Kuta Sector Police no: 227 / XII / 2019 / Bali / Resta Dps / Sek Kutsel.

Received the report, the Chairman of the Police Commissioner Mobile Detective Unit, Made Adi Guna, with the Chairman, Iptu Team I Putu Budiawan and 8 members immediately responded quickly to the theft incident with violence.

The items carried by the perpetrators included: cash of IDR 1 million, 2 black Xiaomi Redmi 8 cellphones and Andromax. As a result of this incident an estimated total loss of IDR 4,200,000.

Until finally on Wednesday (1/3/2020) the perpetrators were tracked on the highway Sember, Kerobokan. Finally, officers made arrests of the perpetrators. Furthermore, the perpetrators were safeguarded to the police headquarters to take part in the legal process.
