Bali hotel room occupancy decreased to 1 % caused by the pandemic according Hariyadi Sukamdani , the Chairman of hotelier and Restaurant Indonesia on Monday (20/7/2020). He stated that Bali is still the best tourism destination when the average occupancy in Indonesia is now between 1-15%,

Hariyadi said some tourist destinations already reopened and trying to get reservations with special discounts and upfront payments.
In some Indonesian areas the policy is still very protective to reopen to tourism and recovering slowly with the fear of ongoing pandemic , but eventually they must also understand that it need to recover to face no bankruptcy .
He also hopes to have hotel reservations for civil government servant who are normally 25% of their clients. However, he hopes some areas in Indonesia will soon be transformed into green zone and able to reopen for tourism.
