Unidentified Body Padanggalak beach
The discovery of a dead tattooed man’s body surprised residents around Padanggalak on Thursday (2/20) morning.
The discovery of the body occurred at around 6:45 a.m. The unknown man was approximately 40 years old, height around 160 cm, stocky body, tattooed arms and straight hair. The body’s identity is still unknown.
The victim’s body was found on the beach, wearing only blue shorts. There are abrasions on the head and fresh blood on the lips.
At around 6:30 a.m. Wita Ketut Wira (63) was walking along Padanggalak Beach and saw a body in the waves laying in a prone position. Ketut then asked for help from people around the area. Ketut along with a number of other people then pulled the corpse out of the water up onto the beach.
Residents then contacted the police. The Denpasar Police Identification Team accompanied by the Denpasar Police SPKT arrived at the location, then secured the crime scene,” a Police spokesperson explained.
From the results of the crime scene, the initial suspicion is the victim died after being swept away by the currents at Padanggalak Beach. Scars were consistent with friction from the sand and gravel of coral on the beach.
The Denpasar City BPBD Ambulance Team arrived at the scene and evacuated the corpse of the victim to Sanglah Hospital for further examination.
