JAKARTA – The Directorate of General Crimes of the Indonesian Police Criminal Investigation Agency is investigating a case of fraud against an Arab princess, Princess Lolowah daughter of Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Saud allegedly committed by an Indonesian citizen (WNI) initials EMC alias Evie and EAH alias Eka. Princess Lolowah is estimated to have suffered a loss of around USD 36 Million or IDR 512 billion more.

The Director of General Crimes of the Indonesian Police Criminal Investigation Agency, Brigadier General Ferdy Sambo, explained that the fraud case was related to the purchase of land. In this case, continued Sambo, Princess Lolowah has precisely sent money of USD 36,106,574.84 or IDR 505,492,047,760 sent from April 27th, 2011 to September 16th, 2018.

“The money is for the purchase of land and the construction of Kama and Amrita Tedja villas on Jalan Pura Dalem, Banjar Sala, Pejeng Kawan Village, Tampaksiring District, Gianyar Regency, Bali”, he added.

However, said Sambo, construction had not been completed until 2018. Based on calculations by the Office of the Public Appraisal Service (KJPP) Ni Made Tjandra Kasih, had assessed the value of the Kama and Amrita Tedja villa buildings according to the physical condition of the building.

“And the value of the building that was built was not as promised”, he said.

Sambo said the land and villa were promised by the perpetrators to be reversed in the name of the company PT Eastern Kayan. However, until now the land and villas are still in the name of the suspect.

Sambo added that the perpetrators also offered a plot of land to victim totaling 1,600 M2 on Jalan Pantai Berawa, Tibubeneng Village, North Kuta, Badung, Bali, as if the land had been sold by their owners.
