81 Flights From China to Bali Canceled

81 Flights From China to Bali Canceled – When tourists arrive at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International airport.

DENPASAR – Cancellation of flights from China to I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Denpasar Bali reached 81 flights. The amount is calculated from January 13th-27th 2020.

“The number that canceled from January 13th-27th 2020 has 81 flights”, said Arie Ahsanurrohim, Communication and Legal Manager of Angkasa Pura I, Tuesday (1/28/2020).

Some of the canceled flights include Lion Air Destination Hangzhou 2x, Lion Air Destination Nanchang 2x, LNI 2645 DPS-HGH, LNI 2615 DPS-KHN, LNI 2614 KHN-DPS, LNI 2644 HGH-DPS.

On the other hand, despite numerous flight cancellations, the Bali Provincial Government empathized with Chinese tourists by issuing a circular number 556/488 / Tourism Office about the hotel and accommodation industry players so as not to charge cancellation fees to Chinese travel agents and tourists who cancel their arrivals because the reason for the Coronavirus outbreak.

The letter directly signed by Bali Deputy Governor Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati also appealed to Chinese tourist travel agents who had already paid down payments to hotels and accommodations to use them for future visits.

“We will continue to promote, as for Indian tourists, whose development has been good lately. Hopefully there will be no change in 2020, also our promotion has been integrated between the Ministries, Provinces, Regencies and industry players”, Tjok Ace said.

Although it is only the first time he has tried, he hopes his side has led to an integrated promotion.

Meanwhile, Badung Regency Regional Secretary I Wayan Adi Arnawa said that his party needed to anticipate the decline in the number of Chinese tourists visiting by boosting foreign tourists from Europe.

“If we look at the international world in relation to this attitude, it seems like we can’t help but have to take action, it needs to be anticipated because the target we set is quite large. Even in the first quarter it has decreased, hopefully the next quarter there will be a change”, Arnawa said when met at the State Finance Building after attending the Rakorda Distribution of Physical DAK and Village Fund 2020, at the State Finance Building (GKN) I Denpasar, Tuesday (1/28/2020).

He explained his team could not depend on one country even though the reality of Chinese tourists visiting was quite large in addition to Australian tourists. Therefore European tourists can be encouraged to visit Bali.

“I see European tourists visiting to rise, thus helping to increase our income. To be honest, if we are honest the quality of tourism is even though quantitative is low from China but in revenue from Europe is greater”, he said.

When compared to 3,000 European tourists visit with 5,000 Chinese tourists, the quality is better than tourists from Europe. Because they live in star-rated hotels that have high taxes.

Arnawa claimed not to be able to predict conditions in the first quarter of this year. He said, in the first month and receipt in January was also still quite good because of the results from December.

So what happens in January will be seen in February, March. If there is a decrease and it is not on target then there is really a decrease and it is not on target.

Badung means targeting IDR 4.7 trillion in tax revenue by 2020. While Local Own Revenue (PAD) is IDR 5.3 trillion.
