DENPASAR – As said by the Bali Regional Police Chief, Police Inspector General Dr. Petrus R. Golose when leading the 2019 candle operation troop ceremony at Puputan Square, Denpasar, Bali, Thursday (12/19/2019) yesterday that safety was focused on places like the Church, tourist attractions, shopping centers, objects of the New Year celebration, terminal, port, train station and airport.

Personnel were deployed to secure in various places as many as 1,979 personnel. With the details of the Bali Regional Police 604 personnel, and all Resort / City Police 1,375 personnel.

From the 2019 candle operation data, there are a number of relevant agencies or stakeholders who helped to secure ahead of Christmas and the New Year 2020 including, the Indonesian National Army 282, Department of Transportation 196, Pecalang 532, Civil Service Police 174, Jasaraharja 19, Fire Extinguisher 134, Red Cross Indonesia 24, PRAMUKA 122, Department of public health 107, Indonesian Radio Amateur Organization 27, Communication Center 79, River Lake and Crossing / port administration 83, Election Contestants 3, National Search and Relief Agency 49, Regional Disaster Management Agency 17, PKS 30 , PLN 31, Angkasapura 12, PELINDO 9, ORANDA 20, KESPAL 4, and the Ministry of Public Works 14.

Then, also prepared facilities and infrastructure and organic equipment available in each work unit and the region in accordance with operational needs and the nature of the threat that starts from vehicles and equipment.

Vehicles prepared include :

4-Wheeled Vehicle Official Ops: 11 units
Inteltek 4 Wheel Vehicles: 1 unit
Wal-Wheel Vehicles: 13 units
Wal 2 Wheeled Vehicles: 12 units
Rantruck / bus: 6 units
Ran Ambulance: 1 unit
Ran Car Command/ Flyaway Bid ICT: 1 unit
Type C2 ships: 1 unit
Type C3 ships: 1 unit
Rubber boat: 1 unit
Helicopter: 1 unit

As for equipment, namely Handy Talky, telephone / fax / cellphone, megapone (hand loudspeakers), short firearms, long firearms, special equipment for riot troops, special tools for Mass Control, and K-9 animals.

“This operation is combined with the Indonesian National Armed Forces and other stakeholders such as the Civil Service Police Unit, Transportation Agency, Health Office, Scouts, Fire Department, Community Protection, Communication Centers and agencies. Because Bali is a place of tourism, my focus is on street crime”, he said.
