Drunk Swiss Hotel Manager Crashes Car at Jimbaran Intersection

An allegedly Drunk Hotel Manager crashed his car at a Jimbaran intersection around 00:15  early Wednesday (11/12/2019) morning. The Swiss National, named by police as Mr. Urs Klee [59] crashed his red Nissan Juke into the sidewalk at the intersection of Jl Bypass Ngurah Rai, near the Unud campus, Jimbaran, South Kuta, Badung, Bali after which the car then caught on fire.

According to the Head of Denpasar Police Public Relations, Iptu Muh Nurul Yaqin, the incident began when the victim drove the Nissan Juke numbered DK 1214 RK in a drunken condition. He further said “This is a single car accident or ‘out of control accident’ that occurred early morning at 00:15 WITA because the driver at that time was drunk and unsteady when driving the car.”

Although he was not seriously injured, Mr. Klee was rushed to the nearest hospital to get medical treatment. Mr. Klee has not been charged with any crime as there were no fatalities resulting from the accident.  However, the Juke destroyed as a result of first the crash and then the fire.
