DENPASAR – The doctor who was studying for a heart specialist was found hanging by herself in Room 529 of the Ibis Styles Hotel, Jalan Teuku Umar Barat Number 183 Denpasar, Tuesday (1/14) morning at 10.45 CIT.

The commemoration of the death of Dr. Ida Ayu Tri Wedari was first known by her husband who is also a doctor of bone specialist, Dr. Nyoman Gede Bimantara (29). The husband came to the scene because when called 3 hours earlier, the victim claimed to be staying in Room 529 of the Ibis Styles Hotel. Victim Dr. Dayu Tri Wedari was found dead hanging with a neck entangled in a scarf tied to the bathroom door next to it.

Although shocked and panicked, Dr. Gede Bimantara still had time to unload his wife’s body himself, then put to lay in bed Room 529 of the hotel. This incident was later notified to the hotel and the report was forwarded to the police.

As soon as they got the report, the Indonesian Automatic Fingerprint Identification System of the Denpasar City Police Station immediately went to the location to do the crime scene and asked for witnesses’ information. The results of the initial examination found no signs of violence on the victim’s body. Only traces were found on the victim’s neck.

“The results of the initial examination, the victim died because of cloth entanglement in her neck, concluded pure suicide. But, to find out the cause of death, the body of the victim was evacuated to the Forensic Medical Installation of the Sanglah Province General Hospital using the Ambulance Disaster Management Agency of the City of Denpasar, at 13.00 CIT”, said a source.

While the Head of the West Denpasar Sector Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Iptu Aji Yoga Sekar, was not yet prepared to provide a press statement regarding the doctor who was found dead by hanging herself in this hotel room. “Sorry, an investigation is still underway. Please give us time”, Iptu Yoga Sekar evaded when confirmed separately on Tuesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the body of the victim Dr. Dayu Tri Wedari yesterday was immediately evacuated to Sanglah Province General Hospital, Denpasar for further examination. Tuesday evening at 18.47 CIT, then the body of the doctor of this suicide victim was delivered to a funeral home in Banjar Monang Maning Kelod, Pemecutan Village, West Denpasar District to be buried.

According to observations, extended families and relatives have been waiting for the arrival of the body of the victim in a funeral home located on Jalan Karang Gang Kubu Padi Denpasar Banjar Monang Maning Kelod area, Pemecutan Village, West Denpasar. Once arrived, the body of the victim was immediately buried. Not yet known, when the body of the doctor of this suicide victim will be declared. Victim Dr. Dayu Tri Wedari leaves forever, leaving her beloved husband and two daughters who were only 3 years and 1 year old respectively.

The family did not want to give information related to the tragic death of Dr. Dayu Tri Wedari. “Sorry, we can’t provide information yet. Maybe if it’s been 3-4 days, then it can. We are all in mourning. This is a difficult time that we suddenly experienced”, said a family member who claimed the victim’s siblings at the funeral home last night.

It was revealed, the victim Dr. Dayu Tri Wedari and her husband, Dr. Gede Bimantara, were both on duty at the Sanglah Hospital. Until her death, his wife was still a general practitioner who was studying for a heart specialist. While her husband is a bone specialist.

Until Tuesday, the motive behind the 29-year-old doctor’s suicide was not revealed. A source said that this action was allegedly motivated by a love affair. It is said that the victim was found cheated by her husband, 2 years ago. The problem has actually been resolved properly. However, lately her husband came back to know that his wife was cheating.

Tuesday morning at 8:00 CIT, the husband had contacted the victim by telephone, before entering work. In a telephone conversation, victim Dr. Dayu Tri Wedari admitted to staying in Room 529 of the Ibis Styles Hotel. If he wants to come to the hotel, her husband is asked to take the room key at the reception. “If you already done the practice, pick me up. Please ask the receptionist for the room key”, the wife asked her husband.

Then around 10:45 CIT, the husband came to the hotel with the aim to pick her up, according to the previous telephone conversation. Upon arriving at the hotel, Dr. Gede Bimantara immediately asked for his wife’s room key to the receptionist. How shocked he found his wife hanging on the side of the bathroom.

Everyday, the victim Dr. Dayu Tri Wedari lives with her husband, children and family on Jalan Karang Karang Kubu Padi Street in the Banjar Monang Maning Kelod area, Pemecutan Village. The victim was found checking in Room 529 of the Ibis Style Hotel on Monday (1/13). When checking in, the victim comes alone to the hotel.
