If for the same mileage an ordinary car costs 500.000 IDR ( 35 US$ ) for example, this electric car only needs 100.000 IDR ( 7 US$ ). Has been tested by the Commissioner of PLN. To support the use of electric cars on the Trans Java Toll Road, currently PLN has SPKLUs in 4 rest areas on the Trans Java Toll Road. Erick reiterated that President Joko Widodo had issued Presidential Regulation No. 55 of 2019 concerning the Acceleration of the Battery Electric Vehicle Program for Road Transportation to encourage the use of electric cars in Indonesia. He considered that encouragement was needed in the form of a Ministerial Regulation for incentives and financial support in order to promote electric cars.

With an electric car ecosystem that is supported by regulations, there will be investment opportunities . The battery industry will grow , including battery exchange services as an attractive business model for the community says Erick. Changing the ecosystem of fuel vehicles to electric vehicles is a step towards realizing energy security, converting imported energy consumption into domestic energy, reducing transportation operating costs, and reducing emissions so that the environment is cleaner.
