In the context of the Bali Hash House Harriers 2 or BHHH2, these terms have nothing whatsoever to do with the “other” hash that in some places of the world is smoked.

Bali Hash House Harriers 2 is great for people at all fitness levels

At Bali Hash House Harriers 2 there are usually 2 trails you can choose from; a Long Trail for runners and a Short Trail for walkers. A split between the two trails will be marked with an S for Short and an L for Long.

If you’re into Walking, Trekking, Hiking or Trail Running, then Bali Hash House Harriers 2 is the place for you. Besides that, hash is the best way to see the awesome views that Bali has on offer.

We generally have a Long Trail for runners and a Short Trail for walkers. If you love trail running, hiking, walking or trekking and want to see the real, raw side of Bali come to Bali Hash 2 and see the Bali that we all fell in love with.

Hashing is a mixture of athleticism and sociability, hedonism and hard work; a refreshing break from the nine-to-five routine. Hashing is an exhilaratingly fun combination of running or walking, orienteering, and partying, where bands of Harriers and Harriettes chase Hares on anywhere from six to ten (sometimes longer) kilometer trails through towns, country, jungle, and desert, all in search of exercise, camaraderie, and good times. It’s kind of like trail running but with fun at the end of the run.

Please note terrain can negate distance on a Hash run

Long Trails are usually around a 2 Hour walk at a brisk pace (approx. 9-11 KM’s)
Short Trails are generally around an Hours walk at a brisk pace (approx. 4-6 KM’s)

Bali Hash House Harriers 2 is a mixed gender, family friendly hash group, whilst some hashes are male only or female only. The original club in Malaysia is still active, being named the Mother Hash, and is a mens only hash. Mother Hash will be hosting the 80th Anniversary Run in September 2018 in commemoration of the founding of Hash in 1938.
