In Kuta area, tourists are not difficult to get a rental electric scooter. One of it can be found via Grab or GrabWheels. And how to rent?

Indra Ginola, staff at GrabWheels Kuta explained it is easy to rent through GrabWheels on Grab application. The user will get map on this application. “The map show the closest scooter parking area and how many they have there,” he said, Monday (2/3/20).

On the application, user will need to scan the QR code before they choose the GrabWheels scooter to open the key. “The application will show the scooter battery level. Next the user will be able to use it,”he explained more.

Top up the user credit on OVO for payment. “The credit will automatically deducted based on renting time. It count every 30 minutes at IDR 10k,” he said.

How to use it? Indra said it is only need to get in to the scooter and push one time with one feet. Amd then they can put more speed by pushing the green botton on the right hand side.

“It is short distance transportation, so the maximum speed is only 25km/hour,” Indra explained. When done, the user have to return it to GrabWheels parking area. “The return can be to any of the GrabWheels parking location,”he mentioned.

When finish they re-scan the QR code at the GrabWheels park to confirm the end trip. “Always forget to end trip. So the credit will continously deduct if no confirmation,” he said.

GrabWheels is available in every cornor of Kuta area. “We can find it in Coco Mart Kuta, Kartika Plaza, Neo hotel, Natya hotel, and other point,” his closing. It is about 75 unit of electric scooters that spreed on that location.

6 Tsunami Sirens at 4 Points Are Not Functioning, Bali BPBD Gathers Related Agencies – The Bali Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) held a meeting on Wednesday (29/01/2020).

Since 2008, Bali has had 9 units of Ina TEWS (Indonesia Tsunami Early Warning System) sirens as a tsunami early warning system. Sirens were built by BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency) and donated to the provincial government of Bali located on the coast including Kedonganan, Kuta, Sanur, Serangan, Seminyak, Tanah Lot, Seririt, ITDC and Tanjung Benoa. Every date on the 26th is carried out testing by the Bali Province BPBD (Bali Regional Disaster Management Agency) with BMKG as a form of tool readiness.

BPBD Bali Province held a meeting on Wednesday (29/01/2020) and related agencies, remembering that one of the tsunami sirens, Tanjung Benoa, did not function when testing January 26th, 2020.

The Head of the Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD), Nyoman Petrus Surianta representing the Head of the BPBD of the Province of Bali stated that there were 6 tsunami sirens namely in Seminyak, Kuta, Kedonganan, Sanur, ITDC and Tanjung Benoa that had the potential to not function due to equipment problems, and one of them is currently that had happened in Tanjung Benoa. Various steps have been taken, from ongoing maintenance to other sirens, lowering components at the Tanjung Benoa siren to submitting new sirens through the Bali Province Budget.

The safety of citizens is a top priority, especially being able to provide a sense of security and comfort to tourists in tourist areas.

Supporting facilities and infrastructures and strengthening human resources in disaster management are urgent and must be considered in order to reduce the risk of disasters and be able to realize disaster-safe tourism in the Province of Bali.

Ali fell on the hill of Lungsiakan Road, Kedewatan Village, Sunday (1/26) at 10:00 CIT. Incidentally when he fell, Ruli pulled Ali’s neck.

The driver thinks he is being hijacked. However, after tracing the police, it turns out that the case was purely a traffic accident.

According to information, the driver was carrying passenger from the direction of Sebali Village, Tegalalang District. The driver crosses Tegallalang District to Kedewatan Village, Ubud District.

In Ubud, The online driver went by Jalan Lungsiakan with the situation going up and down. When crossing the border bridge of Desa Sebali-Desa Lungsiakan, the driver was asked to be careful by the customer.

When crossing a fairly steep descent, the driver suddenly hits the brakes. Passenger who was pillion in shock and spontaneously clamped the online driver’s neck from behind.

Allegedly surprised, the driver lost control. They fell almost into the cliff. Their bodies are stuck in the trees. The online motorcycle driver had collapsed.

Online Taxi Admits To Be Hijacked By The Passenger

While the passenger survived with several injuries. Not long after, several motorists passing by tried to provide help.

The online driver who woke up from fainting speculated if he was hijacked by the passenger. He immediately conveyed to his friends, if he had just been hijacked by his passenger.

The incident immediately made a commotion. Some online driver’s colleagues immediately came to the scene. The case was immediately handled by the police.

The head of the Ubud Sector Police Criminal Investigation Unit Iptu Dewa Pramantara confirmed the incident. But the police insisted it was not hijacking. But traffic accidents due to Out of Control (OC).

“When we were interrogating the motorcycle taxi driver, he was asked to be careful by the passenger, because of the road going up after the bridge. Because the motorcycle taxi driver shift the motorbike gears so the passenger was shocked. So that the driver’s neck was held by the passenger, then fell”, he explained.

Furthermore, Iptu Pramantara said, the passenger was then evacuated by residents and rushed to the clinic. While the motorcycle taxi had collapsed, and only realized after the passenger was evacuated.
