Whale found on Pekutatan beach in the Jembrana area on Wednesday 29/09/2020 at 6 AM by locals who tried to push it first back in the water ( video below }.The 6 meter long whale shark was found by the fisherman Komang Wirata who was fishing and was surprised to see such a large fish who was still alive.

He tried with other locals to save the whale in different ways but didn’t have the right equipment and failed to get the wlae pushed during the low tide and the giant fish died unfortunately
Supervision of Marine Resources and Fisheries PSDKP Albertus Septoyono said that the Whale Shark is protected by law. So even when it’s dead, nobody is allowed to take the whale shark’s flesh, skin, or other organs.
