Visitors to Nusa Penida Going Through Temperature Check-Up

Klungkung, – The entrance gate to Nusa Penida going tighten since there were patient under surveillance (PDP) Covid-19 in Klungkung Regency. The patient (foreigner) visited Nusa Penida on Friday (13/3).

Now, the body temperature check using thermal gun applies to every citizen and tourist who enters Nusa Penida.

1. Body temperature checks at the three entrance gates of Nusa Penida.

Secretary of Klungkung District Health Office (Diskes), Ida Ayu Megawati, revealed that they centered the body temperature checks at three entrance gates. Starting from Sampalan Port, Banjar Nyuh at Nusa Gede island, and Jungubatu Port at Nusa Lembongan.

All citizen and tourists who arrive at Nusa Penida through the three gates must check their body temperature with thermal gun.

“For those who are fever or unwell, we will direct them to nearest health center (puskesmas). So they can immediately check their condition, and conduct an interview related to their medical history,” explained Megawati, Friday (13/3).

2. The surveillance team traces the PDP COVID-19 interaction in Nusa Penida.

The corona virus PDP, which was isolated at Klungkung Regional General Hospital, they have referred to the Sanglah hospital (RSUP) Denpasar, on Thursday (12/3) around 6:00 pm.

The Klungkung Diskes team is currently monitoring the condition of the PDP colleague. “The colleague of the patient is in good health, but still under our supervision,” Megawati said.

Meanwhile, the surveillance team was searching for those who previously interact with the PDP.

“We have done disinfectants as on procedure to the location of the patient’s stay. Likewise the surveillance team directly traced the patient’s interaction,” she continued.

3. The general tourist trend has indeed decreased since early 2020, because the corona virus outbreak is spreading globally.

The Head of Klungkung Tourism Office, I Nengah Sukasta, revealed that his party has increased coordination with Klungkung Diskes after the post findings of Corona virus PDP in Nusa Penida.

“Today the health department has moved by checking the body temperature of tourists every time they set foot in Nusa Penida,” he said.

According to him, the general tourist trend has indeed decreased since early 2020, because the corona virus outbreak is spreading globally.

“If there are sick tourists, they should be treated immediately. Thus, minimizing the impact of the corona (virus) spread. Diskes has also moved by examining body temperature,” Sukasta explained.
