Indonesia already has 3 million doses of vaccine stored in Bio Farma’s warehouse and ready to be distributed.
The Head of the Bali Health Service I Ketut Suarjaya said that as many as 31,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine ( Sinovac ) will be soon received by the Bali Government. The first 25,000 doses will be given to health workers in Bali who are the initial priorities for vaccination. The vaccination campaigns will start in Bali from January 22 nd 2021. There are a total of 31,000 doses . Around January 22 ne 2021. According Suarjaya the Bali Provincial Government is ready to carry out the Covid-19 vaccination proces he said on Sunday 03/01/2021 . A total of 13,369 health workers throughout Bali are prepared to carry out vaccinations. 3,392 people served as vaccinators, 4,492 people were screened , and 10,495 health workers or other officers will assisting during the vaccination process. Vaccinations will be carried out in all health facilities, such as hospitals and health centers in Bali. Meanwhile, regarding cold chain facilities , Bali has four cold rooms, 287 refrigerators, 740 vaccine carrier units and 53 cold boxes to keep the vaccines safely stored.
The Indonesian government is targeting to be able to vaccinate 181.5 million people in 15 months from January 2021 untill March 2022. The number of 181.5 million is equivalent to 70 percent of the population which is expected to trigger herd immunity.
