Sky Garden ex-boss facing 12 years
Sky Garden ex-boss Titian Wilaras (55 ) was shocked and in disbelieve after the prosecutors demanded a 12 years prison sentence . He never expected that he would bbe punished so severe by the public prosecutor at the Denpasar Prosecutor’s Office. The former owner Titian Wilaras from Sky garden nightclub and the BPR bank in Legian was last Monday charged with the Article 50A of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 10/1998 for using funds belonging to BPR Legian Bank for his personal benefit of with a total amount of Rp 23.1 billion. He could face 7 or 15 years imprisonment and a fine of Rp 200 billion ( aprox 13.500.000 US$ ), Titian did not want to admit of any wrong doing and had never ordered anyone to use funds of the company.

Titian always claimed that he was not proven guilty of bank fraud and until the end of the trial. He was polite and maintained his innocence and claimed he returned the used funds of Rp. 13,146,291,411. From the evidence of trial facts and elements of a criminal act, the defendant was accused to be legally and convincingly proven that he had violated Article 50A of Law Number 7/1992 . Titian was shocked when I Putu Gede Sugiarta and Ida Bagus Putu Swadharma Diputra filed demanded a jail term of 12 years on Oct 13 th 2020.
