Power blackout in Kuta after kite hit substation

Power blackout in Kuta after kite hit substation and left more then 71.121 users for 5 hours without electricity on Sunday July 19 th 2020. Dewa Ketut Sunardiya (50)  was arrested after his large kite of two meters length hit a substation and caused a explosion. According Police Commissioner Jansen Avitus Panjaitan from Denpasar police, Dewa and his children had their kite flying on a empty area near their home on the  Benoa Harbor Road in Pesanggaran when the string got broken and touched a electric substation on Jalan By Pass Ngurah Rai what caused a explosion and left Kuta  and parts of East Denpasar without electricity on sunday afternoon July 19 th 2020 at 16.24 H.

At 7 PM  the power enterprise  PLN  started to investigate the incident  and visit Dewa  at his home and discovered  the damaged kite which caused the explosion at the electric substation earlier .
on Monday (20/7) at 12.30 Dewa was arrested and was charged with Article 188 of the Criminal Code  and could face 5 years prison ,but will finally not get punished  for the incident who made damage for  Rp 31 million.
