Mount Agung warning level downgraded
Mount Agung warning level downgraded from level 3 to lever 2 ( stay alert ) on Thursday July 16 th 2020 at 3 PM. The exclusion zone has reduced from 4km to 2km radius but climbing Agung is still forbidden. The decision follows decreased activity with less crater surface activity and fewer volcanic quakes and tremors this year. And with the last small eruption 13 June last year 2019. There is less magma supply to the surface, and with less pressure the crater has been deflating.

There is still potential for more eruptions but it is reckoned to be limited in danger around the summit and a few kilometres. There is still the hazard during rainy season along waterways and gullies.The lowered status was declared Thursday 16 July 2020 at 3pm according to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
