Buleleng Airport Targeted to be Completed in 2024, SINGARAJA – The construction of the airport in Buleleng Regency has come to a bright spot. In fact, the airport project is targeted to be completed in 2024.

The existence of a new airport in North Bali is expected to reduce flight density at Ngurah Rai Airport.

Reportedly, the Ministry of Transportation team only needs to complete a technical study, before determining the location (blocker) is published.

Yesterday (7/11), the Ministry of Transportation was said to hold a technical meeting which discussed the construction of airports in North Bali.

The meeting was attended by Sekprov Bali Dewa Made Indra, Buleleng Regent Putu Agus Suradnyana, Head of Bappeda Buleleng Nyoman Genep, and Buleleng Transportation Agency Head Gede Gunawan AP.

Contacted from Singaraja on Thursday night (7/11), Regent Agus Suradnyana said that yesterday’s meeting indeed discussed airport technicalities.

During the meeting, the airport development initiator explained the concept of development. Then the team from the Kemenhub Airport Directorate provided a number of inputs.

“The inputs are technical. Such as navigation, apron, runway length. These entries are made as resumes for the improvement of the master plan.

Because this determines the coordinates (development) and land area needed, “said Regent Agus.

He mentioned, the airport construction was targeted to be completed in 2024. Just to note, the technical team from the Ministry of Transportation, had already carried out an evaluation of locations in the Village of Evidence and Kubutambah. The evaluation was carried out on 5 September.

It is planned that the International Airport in North Bali will utilize 400 hectares of land. A total of 370 hectares of them, will use the land belonging to the Kubut additional village.

At present a number of companies are said to be interested in the plan to build the international airport. But the company that looks serious is a consortium consisting of PT. PP (Persero) Tbk, PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero), and Perusda Bali.
