Gianyar – Local residents are restless because the woman’s mental illness recurs in Jaba Pura Padangtegal Village, Ubud District. Alula Rabik was secured by Gianyar’s municipal civil service police officers on Thursday (11/21). This 24-year-old Australian woman was then taken to Bali mental hospital in Bangli.
According to police Wayan Nasta, Alula’s father works in Kuta and they live in an Ubud village. Alula ran away from her house by jumping on the wall and then hanging around.
Upon arrival at Jaba Pura Village of Pedangtegal, Alula’s mental illness recurs. She was shouting like doing a speech. The action attracted the attention of tourists who were passing by. Furthermore, Alula was secured because it was considered disturbing. “Especially when she was asked, she did not answer anything and did not carry any identity”, he said.
After being questioned by the Civil Service Police Unit officers, Pecalang and Gianyar Health Service officers, Alula was immediately taken to Gianyar Civil Service Police Unit headquarters. Then on the reference of Gianyar Social Service, they made an abandoned letter to be taken to the Bali mental hospital.
