Anticipation on Coronavirus, 3 Access to Gili Islands are Closed
Liputan6.com, Mataram -Besides dismissing all students of Senior High School and Enterpreneour School of NTB province for 2 weeks, the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of NTB also decided to close the portal to the three gili islands in Lombok to the next 2 weeks. Those are Gili Meno, Gili Trawangan, and Gili Air. This is to anticipate the spread of corona virus outbreak.

“We temporary close access to all three Gili Islands to make sure the destination is free from Covid-19,” said NTB Governor, Dr. Zulkieflimansyah, to mass media after limited meeting.
Said, these three gilis is always full with domestic tourist and even foreign tourist, especially foreigners that comes through Bali. “Because there have been found positive corona case in Bali, so we close the three accsess in Gili,” he said.
Impact of coronavirus outbreak also push the Pemprov NTB to cancel travel agenda and religion that invited many NTB citizens. Governor also take other anticipation steps such as strict inspection at Lombok International Airport (Center Lombok district) and Lembar port (West Lombok district).
He explained, the anticipation show the seriousness of government in anticipating coronavirus outbreak. So it can be sure that NTB tourits destination is safe.
“We do the anticipation, but not that we create fright at destination,” Zul firmly.
During the closing, Pemprov NTB assure there will be spraying disinfectant liquid in every public area such as port, tourism object, airport and other crowd place.
This Governor’s Decree was born in a coordination meeting related to Corona Virus. All Regent, Mayor, Deputi Governor, Secretary and NTB Forkopimda elements of NTB also followed the meeting, and was led by NTB Governor Dr. Zulkieflimansyah, Sunday (03/15/2020).
