485 Foreigners in Bali Apply for an Emergency Visa After Free Visa Suspended

Hundred of foreigners from various countries extend their visa. They apply an Emergency Visa at Ngurah Rai Immigration office, Denpasar and Singaraja, Friday (20/3).

In relation with that, The Minister of Foreign gives an Emergency Visa after suspens the free Visits Visa and Visa on Arrival for one month. This Emergency Visa valid for 30 days.

This rule stated in the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regulation No. 8 of 2020. It concern about the Temporary Suspension of Visit Visas and Visit Visas on Arrival as well as granting permits for forced situations. This policy applies Friday (3/20).

This situation happens as the impact of corona virus. For those who already in Indonesia and also the country that locked down can get the Emergency visas. Those countries are Italy, Spain and France. The requirement to apply for an Emergency Visa is to submit their passport.

The PR of the Bali Province Ministry of Law and Human Rights, I Putu Surya Dharma, said about 485 foreigners applied for Emergency visas from 12 countries.

“At Ngurah Rai Immigration office, there are more than 320 people, Singaraja 17 people, and Denpasar 148 people,” he said to reporter, Friday (20/3).

As for the 12 countries are Germany, Netherland, Russia, China, America, Latvia, Lituania, Italy, Canada, England, South Africa and Ukraina.
